Dismas House Receives 2026 VUSN Community Partner Newcomer Award

Dismas House was recently honored with the 2026 VUSN Community Partner Newcomer Award by Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in recognition of the organization’s strong and growing partnership with the School of Nursing.

Presented during the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing Partnership Recognition Reception on May 14, 2026, the award recognizes a new community partner that has already made a meaningful impact through collaboration with VUSN. The event was held in the Colleen Conway Welch Atrium on Vanderbilt’s campus and brought together community leaders, faculty, and partners for an afternoon of celebration, networking, and shared vision.

The Certificate of Achievement was presented to Dismas House of Nashville and signed by April Kapu, Senior Associate Dean of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.

The reception featured welcome remarks, networking opportunities, a partnership recognition awards ceremony, and closing remarks led by Dean Pamela Jeffries, and Valere Potter, Distinguished Professor of Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.

Dismas House is grateful for the partnership with Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and looks forward to continuing collaborative efforts that support community health, education, and compassionate care throughout Nashville.
